Relationship, Couples  and Sex Therapy

Things can feel very stuck — until they’re understood in the right way.

Maybe you feel distant from your partner, stuck in the same arguments, or like intimacy has quietly disappeared.

You might be avoiding sex — or feeling embarrassed or under pressure when it comes to intimacy.

Or perhaps sex is painful, something you avoid, overthink, no longer want, or feel anxious about.

You might feel:

Frustrated

Rejected

Disconnected

Broken

Or unsure how things got here.

And you don’t know how to fix it.

You don't have to figure it out alone.

About Me

I’m Megan Lynas, a Couples and Psychosexual Therapist specialising in helping individuals and couples who feel stuck, disconnected, or struggling with intimacy.

I trained and worked within the NHS as a Psychosexual Therapist before moving into private practice. I’m a registered member of COSRT — the UK’s leading professional body for sexual and relationship therapy. I hold a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy, with advanced Masters-level training in couples therapy and relationship psychotherapy (AdvDip).

My work is warm, structured and collaborative. We don’t just talk — we actively work towards change. I aim to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and able to explore what’s really going on — without judgement.

My approach is integrative — meaning I draw from different therapeutic models depending on your needs.

We may explore:

  • Relationship patterns and attachment

  • Emotional and psychological  factors

  • The mind-body connection and nervous system

Where helpful, I may suggest practical exercises to support change between sessions.

Therapy is a collaborative process — we work together at a pace that feels right for you.

Why Work With Me?

Therapy with me helps you to:

  • Understand why you feel stuck in certain patterns

  • Communicate openly without things escalating

  • Rebuild emotional and physical intimacy

  • Reduce anxiety, shame or avoidance around sex

  • Feel more confident, connected and secure

  • This isn’t about blame — it’s about understanding what’s happening beneath the surface, and creating meaningful change.

It can feel uncomfortable talking about sex. While our discussions may present challenges, I will navigate them with gentle guidance, empathy, and sometimes a touch of humour. My aim is to give you a place to discover your sexual self without fear of judgement or shame, to overcome your sexual difficulties, so you can move towards a joyful sexual life, whatever that may mean for you.

Sex Therapy

For many of us, sexual well-being holds significant importance in our overall health. Yet, sexual and relationship challenges are extremely common. Sexual difficulties can appear in a number of ways from lack of sexual confidence or experience, to sexual dysfunctions and pain, sexual anxieties, self esteem and lack of desire and arousal.

I support you with:

  • Loss of desire or mismatched libido

  • Painful sex (including vaginismus, vulvodynia, dyspareunia)

  • Erectile or ejaculation difficulties

  • Difficulty reaching orgasm

  • Sexual anxiety, shame or avoidance

  • Infidelity, trust issues, and emotional disconnection.

If you’re unsure whether therapy could help, we can explore this together.
